Home remedies to cure Knee Pain at home: Knee pain is too much common medical condition which occurs due to regular wear and tear of knee joint. This can be experienced by children, young adults and older adults. Women are much more vulnerable to knee pain as compared to men.

In an addition to the knee pain, you may experience symptoms like difficulty standing or walking, numbness in affected leg, redness, swelling and stiffness in knee. Here are some home remedies  to cure knee pain at home :

Cold Compress: Applying cold compresses to painful knees is one of the easiest and best way to reduce swelling and pain. Cold will constrict blood vessels and reduce blood flow to affected area and help in reducing swelling. This will give help you to get relief from pain in knees.

– Wrap handful of ice cubes in thin towel.
– Apply compress to affected knee area for around 10-20 minutes
– Repeat this process for 2-3 times daily until pain is gone.

Apple Cider Vinegar: This vinegar is helpful in reducing knee pain. Due to alkalizing effect of vinegar helps in dissolving harmful toxins and build ups within knee joint. This helps to restore the joint lubricant to help in reducing knee pain and promoting mobility.


– Mix well 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 2 cups of filtered water. Take sip of this mixture throughout day. Drink this tonic on daily basis until you recover completely.

– You can add 2 cups of vinegar to bath tub of hot water. Soak affected knee in water for 30 minutes. Do this remedy once daily for few days.

– You can also mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and olive oil. Use this mixture as a massager oil to the affected knee once or twice until pain get gone.

Cayenne Pepper:  This pepper contains capsaicin which works like pain reliever. Natural analgesic properties of Capsaicin properties produce warm sensation and help in reducing pain in affected knee.

– Prepare a mixture of 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper powder in half cup of warm olive oil. Apply this paste on affected area twice a day for at least one week.

– You can also take mixture of one quarter of cayenne pepper powder in only one cup of apple cider vinegar. Soak clean washcloth in this prepared solution and apply on aching area for 20 minutes twice daily until pain and inflammation get reduced.

– You can also even apply a gel having 0.0125% capsaicin to reduce knee pain.
